Leslie Ann Ludwick Ramsey is a lifelong Highland County resident whose familiar voice — and familiar face — has been woven into the fabric of the community for decades. Through her work in broadcasting and countless volunteer efforts, Leslie has become one of the county's most recognizable and respected public servants.

The Highland County Board of Health meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 16 has been rescheduled for Thursday, July 23 at 9 a.m.

A former central Ohio couple faces 12 felony charges for allegedly defrauding Ohio’s Medicaid program of $9.3 million by billing for services that were never provided, Attorney General Andy Wilson announced today.

John Neeley faces 10 felony counts, including engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, theft in office, money laundering, telecommunications fraud, tampering with records and filing incomplete, false and fraudulent returns. Amy Logan faces six felony counts.

Sports betting integrity violations occurred in the Alabama State men’s basketball program when former men’s basketball student-athletes engaged in game manipulation for sports betting reasons, according to an agreement released by a Division I Committee on Infractions panel. One former student-athlete agreed to his violations, but three former student-athletes chose not to participate in the investigation or were unresponsive. All four student-athletes are permanently ineligible.

Latino voters overwhelmingly support requiring government-issued photo ID to vote. Polls conducted by Pew Research Center (2025) and CNN (2006) have independently confirmed that 82% of Latino voters in the United States approve such a requirement. According to CNN, about 85% of white voters agree, as well as 76% of black voters.
