The Lynchburg Lions Club welcomed another new member into the club on June 8 at its regular monthly business meeting.  

The Highland County Community Action Organization, Inc. will host their 20th annual golf outing Friday, Aug. 14 at Buckeye Hills Country Club located at 7261 Limes Road in Greenfield.

Gary and Sue (Brown) Evans will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on June 18.

The Area Agency on Aging District 7 (AAA7) joins the nation in observing June as World Elder Abuse Awareness Month.

“The forecasts must be real,” State Sen. Mark Romanchuk, R-Ontario, said at a news conference Tuesday. “Forecast is not demand. A speculative project that may never use a single megawatt in Ohio should not become the excuse for costs that real customers are forced to pay.”

State Representative Bob Peterson (R-Sabina) this week voted in support of Ohio’s Capital Budget bill, a two-year capital improvements budget for community projects throughout the state totaling nearly $4 billion.
