NCAA: Sports betting integrity violations involving 4 men’s basketball student-athletes occurred at Alabama State

Sports betting integrity violations occurred in the Alabama State men’s basketball program when former men’s basketball student-athletes engaged in game manipulation for sports betting reasons, according to an agreement released by a Division I Committee on Infractions panel. One former student-athlete agreed to his violations, but three former student-athletes chose not to participate in the investigation or were unresponsive. All four student-athletes are permanently ineligible.

Latino voters and the SAVE Act
Latino voters overwhelmingly support requiring government-issued photo ID to vote. Polls conducted by Pew Research Center (2025) and CNN (2006) have independently confirmed that 82% of Latino voters in the United States approve such a requirement. According to CNN, about 85% of white voters agree, as well as 76% of black voters.

Wilmington College named Earlham School of Religion graduate Noah Kellum as its next campus minister following a national search. He will succeed Nancy McCormick, who retired in June after serving the campus community for 10 years in that capacity.

He suffered terrible headaches and would finally doze off around 4 a.m. — just when guards would begin to summon the detainees for breakfast. Then he’d sleep for most of the rest of the day.

Ohio grocer Kroger announces $1.65 billion deal to purchase Giant Eagle
The Ohio-based grocery chain Kroger announced plans last week to purchase one of its competitors, Giant Eagle, for $1.65 billion. The Pennsylvania-based retailer has more than 200 locations stretching from Maryland to Indiana. The deal is expected to close next year and still needs federal approval to go forward.
