Land bank board accepts Jason Johansen’s resignation at May 15 emergency meeting

The Highland County Land Reutilization Corporation accepted land bank administrator Jason Johansen’s resignation at May 15 emergency meeting Friday, May 15 in the commission chambers on the second floor of the Highland County Administration Building.

Commissioners announced Johansen's appointment in July 2023.

During their July 12, 2023 meeting, commissioners approved the hiring of Johansen, at the recommendation of county human resources director Amy Bradley.

It was announced in May 2023 that former Highland County Land Bank Coordinator Mackenzie Edison resigned, after serving in that role for one year. 

Johansen served just less than three years.

Johansen is a graduate of Chillicothe High School and the University of Rio Grande, where he majored in business management. His work experience includes the Walmart Distribution Center and seasonal work with the City of Chillicothe.

Johansen's last land bank board meeting was April 30. He referred any questions to board president Terry Britton.
