Highland County Sheriff’s Report
These incidents have been reported by the HCSO.
Aug. 17
A deputy responded to the 600 block of Frye Road after a complaint of trespassing. After investigation, it was determined to have been a dispute over a public right of way. The issue was deemed to be a civil issue, no charges issued.
A resident of the 12000 block of state Route 28 reported an assault. After investigation, charges are pending for a Greenfield woman.
A deputy responded to the 5300 block of Danville Road after a report of theft. After investigation, it was determined the items taken had been thrown away in a dumpster. No charges were issued.
A resident of the 7500 block of Mad River Road reported telecommunications harassment.
Aug. 18
Deputies responded to the 2400 block of state Route 138 after a report of trespassing and property damage. After investigation, Noah O. Chapman, 18, of Lynchburg, was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing and criminal damaging.
A deputy responded to the 11000 block of Maple Trail after a report of an unruly juvenile. After investigation, all parties involved were spoken to and no charges were issued.
A resident of the 4200 block of state Route 124 reported harassment. Charges are pending for a Georgetown man.
