Highland County Sheriff’s Report

These incidents have been reported by the HCSO.

July 31

A deputy responded to the 7100 block of Woodland Trail after a report of a suspicious person. After investigation, the person requesting the deputy was found to have an outstanding warrant. John T. Layne, II, 43, of Hillsboro was taken into custody for possession of drugs.

A resident of the 12000 block of Sunshine Drive reported fraud.

A deputy responded to the 1200 block of Burgess Road after a report of an assault. After investigation, Chad H. Fraze, 44, of Hillsboro was charged with assault. James M. Anderson III , 60, and James M. Anderson IV, 27, both of Hillsboro, were each cited for disorderly conduct. 

Aug. 1

A resident of the 10000 of Leaverton Road reported harassment. After investigation, a male was given a warning for telecommunications harassment.

A resident of the 7900 block of Main St., Highland, reported a theft.

Dylan M. Harner, 28, of Leesburg, failure to appear, contempt of court, unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Jefrery D. Waulk, 45, of Highland, driving under suspension.

Brandy R. Rinehart, 32, of Russellville, driving under suspension.

Kindra D. Williams, 48, of Sardinia, failure to appear.
