Brown County Sheriff’s Office seeks additional information following arrest of Dr. Ali Ghasemzadeh

On July 27, deputies from the Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested Dr. Ali Ghasemzadeh following an investigation into allegations of inappropriate sexual conduct involving patients during medical examinations.

Ghasemzadeh was arrested and transported to the Brown County Adult Detention Center on charges of rape, sexual battery and gross sexual imposition. The investigation remains active and ongoing.

Based upon information obtained during the investigation, detectives believe there may be additional
individuals who experienced inappropriate, unwanted, or unexplained sexual contact or conduct while
receiving medical treatment from Ghasemzadeh.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who believes they may have been subjected to inappropriate conduct by Ghasemzadeh, or who has information relevant to this investigation, to contact the Brown County Sheriff’s Office. Individuals are encouraged to come forward regardless of how much time has passed since the incident.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office recognizes that reporting an incident of this nature can be difficult. Anyone who contacts investigators will be treated with dignity, respect, and sensitivity. This remains an ongoing criminal investigation. No additional investigative details will be released at this time.
