After a double-overtime playoff win over Miami Trace, Hillsboro Youth Football and Cheer’s junior varsity team will be traveling to East Clinton on Nov. 4 at 5 p.m. to face Jackson Red in the Little Ohio Heritage Conference’s “Super Bowl.”
The Southeast District Coaches Association named 18 Highland County athletes to the 2023 All-District boys soccer team, along with an assistant coach receiving honors in Division III.
The Southeast District Coaches Association this week announced the 2023 All-District girls soccer teams, with Highland County having 20 players selected as well as the Player of the Year, Coach of the Year and Assistant Coach of the Year for Division III.
The Ohio High School Athletic Association has announced the qualifiers for this week’s cross-country state championships and the pairings for the field hockey state tournament, in addition to the regional tournament pairings in volleyball and soccer.
One Highland County team and six individual runners raced at the OHSAA Division II and Division III Regional Meet at Pickerington North High School Saturday, with Whiteoak’s Landen Eyre winning a regional title and teammate Weston Blair and Hillsboro’s Corbin Winkle also advancing to the 2023 OHSAA Cross-Country State Championships.
The Hillsboro Indians played in the Division III, Region 12 playoffs for the second consecutive year on Friday night, but they were unable to gain momentum on the road against the Celina Bulldogs, falling to CHS by a 49-7 score.
