Williamsburg Township man indicted for alleged child pornography collection

By
Clermont County Sheriff's Office, Press Release

Cedric Alexander, 20, of Williamsburg Township was indicted Tuesday, Feb. 27 by a Clermont County grand jury. He was charged with five counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor, all felonies of the second degree; and one count of tampering with evidence, a felony of the third degree.

In January 2024, the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office received a cyber tip generated by Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) involving an address in the 4000 block of state Route 133 in Williamsburg Township, Clermont County, where child pornography was allegedly uploaded.

On Saturday, Jan. 6, the Clermont County Sheriff’s Investigative Unit executed a search warrant at the residence, where numerous electronic devices were collected as evidence. A subsequent search warrant by detectives enabled the Regional Electronics and Computer Unit (RECI) to examine the confiscated electronics and their accompanying storage devices.

Through forensic analysis, it is alleged that significant volumes of uploaded videos and images depicting prepubescent and pubescent children engaged in various lewd acts were identified. Alexander was alleged to be the sole user for the items collected.

This investigation remains ongoing as detectives continued to work with ICAC and NCMEC in an effort to determine the identifies of any victim(s) and/or perpetrator(s) shown in the pornography.

Alexander was taken into custody without incident on a traffic stop in Brown County.

An indictment is merely a charge and is not evidence of guilt.
