ODOT District 9 releases Highland County construction update
The following ODOT construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Highland County.

State Route 247
S.R. 247 Culvert Replacement — A culvert replacement project on S.R. 247 between Post Lane and Stanforth Lane. This project is set to begin on Aug. 11.
S.R. 247 will be closed for the duration of the project. Traffic will be detoured via S.R. 73 to S.R. 785.
Estimated completion: Aug. 12.
State Route 73 & State Route 785
S.R. 73 & S.R. 785 Resurfacing — A resurfacing project on S.R. 73 and S.R. 785. S.R. 73 will be impacted between the Adams County line and Deer Run Road. S.R. 785 will be impacted between S.R. 247 and S.R. 73. This project has begun as of June 10.
At least one lane will be maintained on S.R. 73 for the duration of the project.
From 7/23 through 8/1, S.R. 785 will experience daily closures between S.R. 73 and S.R. 247.
Estimated completion: summer 2025.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed, and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone. Remember, move over or slow down.
