Johnson announces $750 million for economic development
State Senator Terry Johnson (R-McDermott) Tuesday announced that the All Ohio Future Fund is now open and accepting applications from local communities to help develop site-ready locations across the state for future economic development projects.
The All Ohio Future Fund was created in the state operating budget, House Bill 33. This fund dedicates $750 million to local communities to help them prepare sites and attract new transformational businesses.
"The Buckeye State is ready for business because of our sound economic policies and strong workforce," Johnson said. "The All Ohio Future Fund is another tool to encourage new opportunities in our local communities. This fund can have a generational impact, so I urge local leaders to apply soon."
Eligible costs for funding include infrastructure costs such as public roadwork, water/wastewater and related infrastructure, design and engineering, demolition, wetland mitigation, utility-gap funding and other site enhancements.
Proposals can be submitted via email to AOFF@development.ohio.gov and will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis until funding is used up.
