Hillsboro Tea Party to hold Tax Day Rally

The Hillsboro Tea Party Group announces that plans are under way for a Tax Day Rally on April 15 at the Highland County Courthouse at 5 p.m.
This will be an opportunity for local people to publicly join in peaceful assembly to express themselves, as is being done by citizens all across America.
The Tea Party movement is a recent phenomenon in national life, intended to call public officials and policy makers to remember the freedom found in the Declaration of Independence and guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution. These two documents form the backbone of the Tea Party movement. The three unifying core values of the Tea Parties are Free Markets, Fiscal Restraint, and Limited Government.
The Hillsboro Tea Party is a grassroots, non-partisan organization of private citizens united by these shared values. Its mission is to organize like-minded individuals; educate and inform others based on core values; to secure public policy consistent with these values; and to positively affect the outcomes of elections.
All citizens of the area who wish to exercise their constitutional rights to free speech are invited to take part in the Tax Day Rally on April 15 at 5 p.m.
Regular monthly meetings of the Hillsboro Tea Party are on the first Monday of each month at 7 p.m., with the group meeting next on April 5 at the Hi-Tec Center on North High Street in Hillsboro. A large number of local citizens are involved in organizing to make this group a long-term influence on the local and national level. The founding leader of Hillsboro Tea Party is Sam Taynor, who can be reached at (937) 442-3072 or samtaynor@communityteaparty.org. The website for the group is http://hillsboroteaparty.blogspot.com.
