The following is the Hillsboro Police Report for July 15-29.
Arrests and Citations for July 15-16
Mercedes Captain, 36, of Hillsboro was arrested for failure to appear on a bench warrant.
Jenna Chaffins, 37, of Dayton was arrested for failure to appear on a bench warrant.
Hunter Wolf, 22, of Hillsboro was arrested for disorderly conduct.
Cameron Elkins, 23, of Hillsboro was arrested for tampering with property.
Tammara Pearson, 47, of Sabina was cited for driving under suspension.
Arrests/Citations for July 22
Taralee McKeever, 38, was arrested for failure to appear on a bench warrant.
John Harlow, 39, of Hillsboro was arrested for failure to appear on a bench warrant and trespassing.
Dakota Holond, of Hillsboro, was cited for failure to display registration.
July 27
On July 27, the Hillsboro Police Department responded to a crash in the 700 block of North West Street. Dorothy Maloney, of Hillsboro, was traveling southbound on North West Street and negotiating a curve in the 700 block, when she was struck by a northbound vehicle that had allegedly crossed over the line into the southbound lane. Patricia Jones, of Winchester, was southbound rounding the curve when she allegedly went left of center and struck the vehicle operated by Maloney. The vehicle operated by Jones came to rest in a yard, while the vehicle operated by Maloney ended up positioned between a guide wire and a telephone pole near Springlake Avenue. The two drivers and a passenger were transported to Highland District Hospital by the Paint Creek Fire and EMS, with possible injuries. Patricia Jones was cited for traveling left of center.
Jennifer Bowles, 61, of Hillsboro was cited for improper starting.
Anthony Wilcox, 72, of Hillsboro was arrested for trespassing.
The Hillsboro Police Department responded to a crash on North High Street. Kimberly Wells of Hillsboro was stopped at the red traffic signal on North High Street at the intersection of North Street, heading northbound. Barbara Gordon of Hillsboro was traveling in the same direction and allegedly failed to stop in time and collided with the rear of Wells’s vehicle. After colliding with Wells, Gordon allegedly backed up, striking the front of Jessica Turner’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Gordon was cited for assured clear distance ahead and improper backing.
July 28
A resident in the 300 block of North High Street came into the station to report a theft of a credit card. Report was taken and is currently under investigation.
Jennifer Bowles of Hillsboro and Ryan Kothera of Hillsboro were both stopped at a red light at the intersection of North High and East North Streets when the signal turned green, Bowles allegedly accelerated, striking Kothera’s vehicle from behind. Bowles allegedly continued to push the vehicle until both vehicles finally came to a stop approximately 10 feet from the intersection. Moderate damage was reported to Kothera’s vehicle. No injuries were sustained. Bowles was cited for improper starting.
July 29
Katherine Brown of Hillsboro was parked in the parking lot of a Harry Sauner Road business. Roxanne Rankin of Hillsboro was attempting to reverse into a parking spot and allegedly struck Brown’s vehicle.
Miranda Burns, 30, of Hillsboro was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.
