Fairfield’s Caitlyn Quickle gains Division III All-Ohio honors

LEESBURG — Fairfield sophomore Caitlyn Quickle was not only a force in the pitcher’s circle in 2022, but she was a force at the plate as well, earning her Division III All-Ohio honors from the Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association.
Quickle was selected as an honorable mention for her play in her sophomore season.
The Fairfield pitcher in ’22 had a 13-4 record in the circle with 17 starts. In those 17 games played, the sophomore Quickle pitched 99.1 innings, allowing only 28 runs, with just 12 of those runs being earned runs. She also walked 26 batters and struck out 141 batters.
Quickle’s ERA for the ’22 season was 0.846, with a WHIP of 0.956.
At the plate, Quickle in 25 games had 80 at-bats, where she scored 41 runs, had 46 hits (17 doubles, two home runs), five walks and she was hit by a pitch twice.
Quickle also had five steals and had a batting average of .575, with an OBP of .609 and SLG of .863.
The fielding numbers of Quickle saw her have 15 put-outs, 25 assists and a fielding percentage of .952.
The Lady Lions won the Division I Southern Hills Athletic Conference championship, plus won a sectional and district championship this past season.
Fairfield finished with an overall record of 20-5 and had an SHAC record of 12-1.
