Ella Say, a junior at Lynchburg-Clay High School, won the RPHF Solid Waste District’s annual poster contest in honor of America Recycles Day.
America Recycles Day, observed Nov. 15, is the only nationally recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States. To celebrate, the RPHF Solid Waste District challenged all high school students in the district to a poster contest. The contest was open to students in Ross, Pickaway, Highland and Fayette counties.
As the 2024 winner, Say’s poster will be distributed to local classrooms and community organizations and will be shared on social media pages. Say also received a $25 Amazon gift card and a district tie-dye T-shirt.
