Cincinnati woman gets community control in Highland County meth possession case

A Cincinnati woman was recently sentenced to community control after pleading guilty to a meth possession charge in Highland County.

Taylor L. Deitsch, 23, was charged with aggravated possession of methamphetamine, a third-degree felony, in May. The indictment alleged that in December 2022, Deitsch “did knowingly obtain, possess or use” meth “in an amount equal to or exceeding bulk amount but less than five times bulk amount.”  

According to a bill of particulars, Highland County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a Hillsboro address to serve a warrant on another individual believed to be at the home. After officers spent “over an hour of giving commands to exit,” Deitsch left the residence and gave a fake name.

Officers determined her identity and removed “several baggies” from Deitsch, later found to contain 4.15 grams of meth.

Deitsch pleaded guilty to the charge July 6.

On Aug. 2, Highland County Common Pleas Court Judge Rocky Coss sentenced Deitsch to three years of community control and ordered her to successfully complete a recommended treatment program.
