Whiteoak volleyball season ends at districts

WELLSTON — The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats ended their season in three sets Thursday at Wellston High School.

WHS was defeated in the Division IV SE District Semifinals by the South Webster Lady Jeeps by scores of 25-11, 25-11 and 25-16.

The Lady 'Cats finish the season with a sectional title, along with a second-place finish in the South Hills League, Division II.

In the sectional round, WHS defeated Glenwood New Boston in three sets.

South Webster will play Waterford in the district final on Saturday. Waterford defeated Portsmouth Notre Dame Thursday in three sets by scores of 25-12, 25-15 and 25-16.[[In-content Ad]]
