Despite allowing 34 points in the first half, the Whiteoak Wildcats rallied in the second half, played stifling defense and defended their home court Friday night for a 55-42 win over Felicity-Franklin.
The season-opening non-conference win by WHS didn't look so evident in the first two quarters with WHS scoring just six points in the first frame, while trailing 34-24 after two complete quarters after allowing 22 points in the first quarter and 12 more in the second.
After halftime adjustments, WHS allowed just eight points total in the final two quarters, four in each.

WHS (1-0) also became more balanced scoring in the final three quarters, with 18 in the second, 15 in the third and 16 more in the fourth.
The Wildcats were led in scoring by Tyler Williams with 22 points, as he was 8-of-8 from the free-throw line. Williams made seven two-point baskets.
"Tyler had a great game," WHS head coach Tom Wessner said. "We came out sluggish as a team and were down 17 at one points but the guys battled and fought back for the win.
"Our defense was good, and we rebounded well. We were able to take advantage of opportunities."
Jason Jones followed with 13 points (one 3-pointer) and Justin Emery with eight points, and Kyle Marler totaled seven points as he was 3-of-4 from the free-throw line.
Also scoring points for WHS were Nick Wardlow with three points and Brandon Ashbaugh with two points. Ashbaugh also collected seven rebounds.
Leading Felicity in scoring were Jordan Utter and Dillon Utter with 14 points each.
