The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats won in convincing fashion on Wednesday, advancing to the sectional finals this weekend as they defeated Western Latham by a 6-0 score.
WHS, the No. 9 seed, won behind the pitching of Kiley Sosby, as the sophomore ace didn't allow a hit until the bottom of the seventh inning with one out as she pitched a one-hitter. Sosby also struck out 12 batters.

All six WHS runs were unearned. Christine Hamilton had a triple for the Lady 'Cats.
WHS will play again on Saturday, May 18 at No. 1 seeded Portsmouth Notre Dame at 11 a.m. in the sectional final in Division IV.
The Lady 'Cats now have at least seven wins on the season.
