Lady Wildcats fall to Manchester
Recently the Whiteoak Lady Wildcats fell to the Manchester Lady Greyhounds 58-46 in girls’ basketball action.
Emily Hargett led WHS with 11 points. Hargett knocked down five baskets and was 1 of 2 from the free-throw line. Haley Bingamon made two 3-pointers, finishing with a total of 10 points.
Jessie Gilliland was 2 of 4 from the free-throw line, and made three shots from the floor for a total of eight points. Brooke Burns netted six points, and teammate Kristen Seip finished with five points. Seip was 3 of 4 from the free-throw line.
Liz Carson scored four points in the loss and Brittany Waits finished with two points.
Katie Little led Manchester with 19 points. Chelsye Cooper scored 11 points for the Lady Greyhounds.
WHS led after the first quarter by a score of 13-11 and at the end of the first half 26-23. Manchester scored 15 in the third to take a 38-33 advantage. In the final quarter MHS out scored the Lady ‘Cats 20-10.
Whiteoak was 8 of 12 from the free-throw line. MHS was 15 of 25 in free throw shooting.
