Lady 'Cats fall at Manchester

The second game of the season for the Whiteoak Lady Wildcats came following a break of nine days, and the rust showed up in the first half, falling to the Manchester Lady Greyhounds, 58-44 Monday evening.
The Southern Hills Athletic Conference matchup saw the Lady 'Cats (0-1, 0-2) trailed 23-7 after the first quarter and 41-20 at halftime.
Leading WHS in scoring was sophomore Emma Wardlow with 15 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double. She also added five steals.[[In-content Ad]]
Courtney Cummings followed with eight points, and Brittany Luman added seven.
Also scoring for the Lady 'Cats were Emily Stratton with five and Maggie Carr with four. Amber Gorman added three points, and Jayde Parr totaled two points.
WHS, who committed 24 turnovers, shot 14-of-54 from the field (2-of-22 from beyond the arc) and 12-of-18 from the free-throw line.
WHS will play again on Thursday, Dec. 5 when they travel to play Central Catholic in a non-conference game.
