Volleyball Report: McClain, Hillsboro, Whiteoak lose Thursday conference games

McClain falls to Miami Trace

In a three-set match Thursday night at Miami Trace High School, the McClain Lady Tigers lost a Frontier Athletic Conference game to the host Lady Panthers.

MTHS won the FAC match by scores of 25-17, 25-18 and 25-22.

MHS is now 0-2 in the FAC and 4-3 overall.

Whiteoak drops SHAC match to North Adams

In a Southern Hills Athletic Conference showdown Thursday evening, the Whiteoak Lady Wildcats lost to the host North Adams Lady Green Devils in four sets.

WHS lost sets two, three and four by scores of 25-13, 25-21 and 25-15. Whiteoak won the first set at 25-17.

North Adams was led in kills by Katelynn Boerger with 18, led by Natalie Ragan with 34 assists, Aulbrea Meade with five aces, Paige Evans with 16 digs and Meade with five blocks.

WHS is next scheduled to play on Friday, Sept. 1 on the road at West Union High School.

The Lady Wildcats are now 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the SHAC.

Hillsboro loses on road to Jackson

In a game that went to the fifth and final set, the Hillsboro Lady Indians lost a Frontier Athletic Conference game to the host Jackson Ironladies.

HHS won sets one and two by scores of 25-13 and 25-18. JHS won the final three sets by scores of 26-24, 25-22 and 15-10.

Jackson was led in kills by Sydney Hughes with 15 and in aces by Paige Dailey with four. Rylie Kilgour led JHS with 15 digs, and Hughes led JHS with 24 assists.

The Lady Indians are now 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the FAC standings.

Next for HHS is a home match on Tuesday, Sept. 12 vs. Miami Trace.
