Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) Director Jack Marchbanks Wednesday announced that more than a dozen major local bridge projects will receive funding to support rehabilitation and replacement work.

The Transportation Review Advisory Council (TRAC) has approved the 2024 draft list of projects to receive funding through the Ohio Department of Transportation's Major New Capacity Program. It includes $127.3 million in new funding commitments for 18 projects over the next four years.

Several inches of snow are forecast to blanket the entire state through the weekend, with the heaviest amounts in northern Ohio. Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation have already been out ahead of the storm preparing equipment and roadways.
