The Southern Hills Athletic Conference announced Tuesday the 2024 All-SHAC teams for the fall season, with Highland County having 43 players and four coaches honored.

With the 2024 Great Midwest Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Summit held recently in Columbus, the Great Midwest SAAC Executive Board was voted upon by the SAAC members in attendance via a secret ballot during the annual business meeting.

Taking time for their offense to heat up, the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs controlled the tempo of their Southern Hills Athletic Conference game against the Eastern Lady Warriors Monday night, shutting out their conference foe, 4-0.

It took just three sets for the Fairfield Lady Lions volleyball team to gain a Southern Hills Athletic Conference win against the host Eastern Lady Warriors, Tuesday at EHS.

The battle of the Southern Hills Athletic Conference in the Division III SE District Semifinals went to the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs, as they used nine hits to send themselves to the district finals, defeating the SHAC champion Eastern Warriors, 5-1 at Ohio University. 

Eastern’s varsity baseball team finished first in Division I of the Southern Hills Athletic Conference with a SHAC record of 12-1.

The 2024 Southern Hills Athletic Conference Track and Field Championships were held at Manchester High School on Friday evening, where the Fairfield Lady Lions won the girls championship, while the Whiteoak boys placed as runners-up in the boys event. 

The Eastern Warriors boys track and field team were second place at the Southern Hills Athletic Conference junior high meet.

The Whiteoak had a huge pitching performance on Tuesday, April 30, as freshman Izayah Clift tossed a no-hitter against the visiting Manchester Greyhounds, 4-0. 

After falling on Monday night to the Eastern Warriors in Southern Hills Athletic Conference action, the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs returned the favor against the conference rival, by defeating the Warriors at EHS by a 7-6 score.
