Wes Miller out as Bearcats coach

The Cincinnati Bearcats are reportedly moving on from men’s basketball coach Wes Miller.

The school reportedly parted ways with Miller on Friday after another disappointing year, per ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

The reported move comes two days after the Bearcats suffered a one-point loss to UCF in the second round of the Big 12 tournament.

Miller spent five seasons leading the Bearcats, compiling a 100-75 record and failing to reach the NCAA Tournament. He is owed a $9.9 million buyout under his contract, but the buyout may be negotiated down.

Miller led UC to an 18-15 record in 2026 as Cincinnati struggled to manage injuries and off-court issues early in the season. UC made the decision to move on from Miller just days after the Bearcats blew an eight-point lead with just over two minutes to play against UCF in the second round of the Big 12 Tournament.
