CHILLICOTHE – The Hillsboro boys soccer season ended Tuesday night as they fell 4-0 against the Zane Trace Pioneers in the Division II SE District Sectional Semifinals.

“The kids played hard, but Zane Trace scored four goals in the first half and that hurt us,” Hillsboro coach Wayne Thiel said. “They (Zane Trace) are a good team. We played better defense in the second half.”

The game marked the end to eight HHS senior soccer careers, seniors included: Tony Thiel, Alex Schelling, Jacob Miller, Tyler Bick, Austin Lowe, Seth Darbyshire, Zach Fleming and Andrew Goolsby.

“The seniors went out and played hard for us tonight, and all season long,” Thiel said.

The Indians end the season with five wins.
