Too much energy for one person to have

Wow I have been full of energy this week, in fact, I feel like I have the energy of at least four people, but maybe I’ve had too much caffeine. I don’t know.
I do know one thing I am excited about: The start of the South Central Ohio League football in-league games.
The overall play this season in the SCOL has been the best year of football I’ve seen in my time covering high school football. (Did you know I have five years experience watching this league?)
There are Falcons facing Indians, Tigers taking on Red Raiders, Golden Eagles clawing with Blue Lions and in the one non-league game Panthers pouncing Pioneers.
What more can a football fan want?
How about my predictions to the two games involving Highland County teams? This year I am much cleaner since I left the farm.
No I am not going to do that, you can make your own picks with the information provided the preview stories in the Press. You (and I) have earned that right.
This will be the first week I have had the opportunity to watch the Hillsboro Indians live this season. I’m excited to see the undefeated Indians step up to the challenge and face the defending three-peat champion Clinton-Massie.
From what I have been told about the Falcons (if they resemble anything from their previous teams), then add in the improved Indians, it should make for one exciting game.
Then there is the clash between the Tigers and Red Raiders. Again, it features two undefeated teams who play classic football. Fans should get their money’s worth with this SCOL game.

Last week I was pleased to watch the Paint Valley Bearcats in person for the first time this season. Have I ever mentioned I love watching football from the Paint Valley football field?
I think the backdrop of the mountains and the corn fields by the stadium, mixed with the lights on Friday night, is beautiful. The PV fans are very lucky people to have the privilege to watch games from that location five times a year.
