Jordan Crawford rattled home a fade-away jump shot with 14 seconds left to ice Xavier's 78-74 victory over the Dayton Flyers at the Cintas Center Saturday.
Greenfield's Danté Jackson scored 19 points, a career-high with the Musketeers. Jackson opened the game by committing a foul on the defensive end, then stepped out for his first three-pointer of the game.
Dayton pulled to within 76-74 with 1.9 seconds left in regulation. However, a pair of free-throws made it a two-possession ball game with 0.6 seconds on the clock. The victory improves Xavier's record to 12-5 and 4-0 in the Atlantic 10.
Dayton falls to 13-4 and 2-1 in the A10.
In addition to Jackson's 19 points, Jamal Holloway scored 17 points and Crawford finished with 16 for Xavier.
The Musketeers travel to Philadelphia Wednesday night to take on the Temple Owls.
