Five University of Dayton football players are among 3,534 student-athletes (out of approximately 70,000 players) on football rosters this year who have already their undergrad degrees, the National Football Foundation announced.

This is the most graduates playing college football since the NFF began compiling the list in 2017.

Punter/kicker Danny Baker, wide receiver Luke Brenner, safety Cole Hildebrand, wide receiver Chase Holmes and quarterback Jadyn Nirschl are the Dayton players on the list.

"By showcasing the more than 3,500 student-athletes who have not only earned their undergraduate degrees but are now continuing their educations at the graduate level, we send a clear message about the transformative power of college football," said NFF Chairman Archie Manning. "The National Football Foundation is proud to hold out these individuals as examples of the significant educational opportunities created by playing college football."

Baker earned his undergrad degree in Finance and is now working toward earning his Contemporary Business Certificate. Brenner graduated with a Bachelor's in Adolescence to Young Adult Education and is pursuing his grad degree in Communication, with a concentration in Strategic Public Relations.

Hildebrand graduated in the spring with a degree in Business Economics. He is unable to play this season due to an injury, but will work on his MBA while helping coach the Flyer football team.
