Hillsboro boys bowling places 9th overall at 2026 Div. I State Bowling Championships

The Hillsboro Indians boys bowling teams ended their successful and championship season facing the very best competition the state offered, as they were qualifiers of the 2026 Division I State Bowling Championships at H.P. Lanes in Columbus on Friday. 

The Indians as a team finished in ninth place overall out of 16 teams in the state event, just one spot shy of qualifying for the championship round. HHS was 37 pins off of the eighth-place finisher Gahanna Lincoln, who had a regular-game and Baker total of 3915. 

Hillsboro’s ninth-place finish saw their regular game and Baker total be 3,878. In their team regular games, the Indians had scores of 902, 1,118 and 883 for a three-game (regular games) total of 2,903. 

In the Baker portion of the tournament, their five-game total was 975 with scores of 159 (Baker 1), 183 (Baker 2), 194 (Baker 3), 193 (Baker 4) and 246 (Baker 5). 

Hillsboro’s top finisher was junior Jay Reno, tying for 10th place overall with a score of 670. Reno’s scores were 198, 268 and 204. His scores placed him as second-team All-Ohio. 

HHS senior Camden Lively was 31st overall with a score of 605. Lively had game scores of 173, 267 and 165. 

The Indians had sophomore Quentin Gall tied for the 56th overall spot as he scored a 559 in the event. Gall had individual game scores of 187, 194 and 178. 

Gall was tied with senior teammate, Steven Rodgers, who also had a 559 score with game scores of 178, 194 and 187. 

HHS sophomore Talc Girard was 87th overall with two game scores of 166 and 195. 

This season ,the Indians were East/Southeast District champions, FAC regular-season champions and they also were the FAC Tournament champions.
