McClain's Sterling 2nd place at FAC No. 6 match at Buckeye Hills

The McClain Lady Tigers hosted the sixth and final Frontier Athletic Conference match of the regular season on Thursday, Aug. 28 at Buckeye Hills Country Club in Greenfield.

The winning team was Jackson with a score of 189, and second place went to Miami Trace with a score of 202.

Third place went to Chillicothe (209) and the remaining team scores included: Washington (210), McClain (222), and Hillsboro (230).

McClain senior Kaylin Sterling was second place in the event with a score of 39, while first place went to Jackson senior Aubrey Arnold with a score of 35.

The remaining McClain scores also included: Emma Marsh (55), Maguire Ross (62), Autumn Uhrig (66), and Sarah Kegley (67).

Hillsboro low score leader was senior Rylea Scarberry who tied for seventh place with a score of 49.

The remaining scorers for HHS were: Ann Boyd (60), Emarey Schurman (60), Brianna Foxx (61), and Ryan Beyersdoerfer (68).

The next FAC match will be the championship match held at Chillicothe Country Club on Sept.15.
