5 Highland County football players named to OPSMA All-District team

The Ohio Prep Sports Media Association Saturday released the 2024 All-Southeast District football teams, with Highland County having five honorees this year.
Hillsboro had four selections, led by senior Jamar Young on the first team for offense (OL) and junior Zack Brown on the first team for defense (DB) in Division III.
Earning special mention in Division III were Hillsboro sophomore Collin Swackhamer and junior Jeven Hochstuhl.
In Division IV, McClain senior Owen Sykes was named special mention.
Paint Valley had six players named All-District in Division VI, including a Co-Offensive Player of the Year in senior Braylon Robertson. Robertson was also named to the first team for his play at running back.
Two other PVHS players were selected to the first team for offense in senior Carson Free (WR) and junior Preston Fauber (QB). Named to the defensive first team was senior Caleb Saunders (DL).
Rounding out Paint Valley’s selections were special mention players Colton Yoakum and Jase Rhinehart.
