Wildcats fall to Rockets 

Hosting the Fayetteville Rockets on Wednesday (Sept. 10) in Southern Hills Athletic Conference action, the Whiteoak Wildcats lost to the visiting team by a 5-1 score at the Whiteoak soccer field next to Bright Elementary School.

Whiteoak’s lone goal was scored by Abe Flader, with the assist credited to Tre Lamb. 

At goal for WHS was Evan Richmond with 21 saves. 

The Rockets’ goals were scored by Ryder Luncan (two), Keegan Craycraft, Levi Espinoza and Brayden Williamson. 

At goal for the Rockets were Blake Rugenstein with five saves and Williamson.

Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025 
Lynchburg-Clay shuts out West Union 

Playing the West Union Dragons on the road on Wednesday, Sept. 10, the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs earned a SHAC win by a 7-0 score. 

LCHS had two goals each from Elam Faust, Harley Lewis and Quin Wells. Having assists in the win were Faust, Mason Fisher and Alex VanFleet with two. 

At goal for the Mustangs was Tanner Roberts with two saves.

Lady Lions fall to CNE

In a non-conference match on Thursday, the Fairfield Lady Lions lost to the host Clermont Northeastern Lady Rockets by a 2-0 score. 

At goal for FHS was Meri Jackson totaling seven saves.

Fairfield shut out at CNE

The Fairfield Lions faced a strong Clermont Northeastern team on Thursday evening, falling by an 8-0 score in non-conference action. 

The Lions had seven saves in the game, with Anderson Humphreys totaling five and Parker Pierce having two.

Hillsboro falls to Jackson in FAC match 

Going to Jackson High School for a Frontier Athletic Conference match on Thursday, the Hillsboro Lady Indians lost to the host Jackson Ironladies, 2-1. 

The two teams were tied at 1-1 at halftime, as Hillsboro’s lone goal was scored by Piper Wilkin with the assist by Ella Jordan. 

Jackson took the lead and earned the win with a goal in the second half. 

Hillsboro goalie Phoebe Holland totaled six saves.

Indians lose FAC match against Jackson
 

The Hillsboro Indians lost a FAC match Thursday evening against the host Jackson Ironmen by a 4-1 score. 

Hillsboro’s lone goal was scored by Easton Inman, with the assist from Mason Rinal. 

At goal for HHS was Owen Davis, with the freshman totaling seven saves.

Tigers lose at MTHS 

The McClain Tigers lost on the road against the host Miami Trace Panthers by a 7-0 score on Thursday evening at MTHS. 

The score was close at halftime, as MHS trailed by just two goals at 2-0. MTHS scored five goals in the second half.

McClain ties with Miami Trace 

In a big-time match on Thursday, the McClain Lady Tigers tied with the Miami Trace Lady Panthers by a 1-1 score. 

McClain trailed 1-0 at halftime but scored the only goal of the second half for the 1-1 score. McClain’s lone goal was scored by Addison Olaker.

Girls Soccer 
Fairfield shuts out visiting Peebles
 

It was a SHAC winner for the Fairfield Lady Lions on Friday night, as they earned a conference win over the visiting Peebles Lady Indians by a 4-0 score. 

Vivian Henninger scored two goals for the Lady Lions in the victory, and teammates Sophie Humphrey and Rilee Quickle each had one goal in the win. 

Assists went to Henninger and Quickle. 

Meri Jackson had one save in the win over Peebles. Also at goal for FHS was Landry Teeters, who also collected a save.

Friday, Sept. 12, 2025 
Lions host Peebles in SHAC action 

The Fairfield Lions hosted the Peebles Indians in SHAC play on Friday night, and it was the visiting Indians who gained the conference victory by defeating the Lions, 3-1. 

At Fairfield High School, the Lions’ lone goal was scored by Cam Caudill, with the assist from Quentin McIntosh. 

At goal for FHS was Anderson Humphreys, who ended the match with three saves.

Eastern defeats Whiteoak 

The Eastern Warriors defeated the host Whiteoak Wildcats by a 2-0 score on Friday at the Whiteoak soccer field located next to Bright Elementary School. 

Eastern’s goals were scored by Hunter Gould and Salvador Olmos.

LCHS drops non-conference game to Miami Trace
 

Playing against a tough Miami Trace team on Saturday afternoon, the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs were defeated at MTHS by a 3-1 score. 

LC’s goal was scored by Savannah Bell.
