Lady Tigers end season in tournament loss at Vinton County

The 2025 volleyball season came to a close in Division IV First Round District action on Monday (Oct. 13) for the McClain Lady Tigers, falling in three sets to the host Vinton County Lady Vikings. 

The No. 10 seeded Lady Tigers lost in three straight sets to the No. 7 Lady Vikings by scores of 25-13, 25-16 and 25-19. 

McClain ended the season at 5-18 overall, and they were 2-8 in the FAC standings. 

Their wins this season were against Whiteoak, Washington (three times, one non-conference) and Paint Valley. 

Seniors for McClain are Lillie Saunders, Zoie Everhart and Lydia Beatty.
