Tour d'Lemon Car Show returning to Hillsboro to benefit Highland Humane Society
Rev up your engines for a cause: The second annual Tour d'Lemon Car Show is set for Saturday, Aug. 3 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hillsboro Rural King.
This year's event promises a day of family-friendly fun, remarkable vehicles and a heartfelt mission to support the Highland Humane Society.
“We are thrilled to bring back the Tour d'Lemon for its second year, and we're driving toward a record-breaking year of donations for our furry friends," said Richelle Fair, Executive Director. "It's not just about showcasing amazing cars; it's about making a meaningful impact in our community by supporting the Humane Society.”
The event is described as a non-traditional car show that welcomes any and all car enthusiasts who wish to support the cause. A lemonade stand, raffle, 50/50 and food truck, Tater Patch BBQ, will be set up during the event. The Board of Directors from the Humane Society will decide on the most unique entries and award trophies for first, second and third place. Cars may register for a $10 donation.
Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Humane Society, supporting their efforts to rescue, rehabilitate and find loving homes for animals in need. Last year, Tour d'Lemon raised over $900 for the cause, and organizers are optimistic about surpassing that figure this year.
“We invite everyone in Hillsboro and beyond to join us for a day of cars, community and compassion," Fair said. "Together, we can make a difference in the lives of animals who rely on our support.”
