Take a 'girls' time out' for bladder health

WILMINGTON — Do you find yourself locating the nearest restroom wherever you are? Are you exhausted in the morning because you’ve been up every hour using the bathroom? Have you reached the moment when you realize your bladder is controlling your life?
One in six adults in the United States deal with overactive bladder and face symptoms such as leaking, urgency and/or frequency. Many suffer in silence, frustrated with their current treatment but unaware that other options exist.
Clinton Memorial Hospital does not want accidents to define your life. At the same time, CMH clinicians realize how challenging it is to take time from your busy day to meet with a doctor—and how intimidating the search for symptom relief can be.
That’s why CMH is hosting an event to help you face your bladder issue in a relaxed environment. Bring a friend and join us for a Girls’ Time Out for Bladder Health. The event will be in the Clinton Memorial Hospital Conference Center Thursday, Dec. 9, from 6 to 9 p.m. Register at www.FacingOurMoments.com or call 1-800-664-5111.
Enjoy decadent chocolate desserts, prizes, chair massages, and a chance to meet one-on-one with a bladder health doctor—urologist Dr. Philip Aschi of the CMH Medical Staff. No co-pay, no hospital gown; just an opportunity to discuss symptoms and learn about treatment alternatives.
Everyone who registers and attends a Girls’ Time Out event is entered for a chance to win a grand prize of a Wii Console and Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board Bundle.
In addition to CMH, the event is co-sponsored by Medtronic.
