Seventh Day Adventist Church hosts 'Let's Move Day' Sept. 25

There will be a a 5K walk and run on Sunday, Sept. 25, as part of the Seventh Day Adventist Church's “Let's Move Day.”

The course will wind around city sidewalks. The course starts at the Seventh Adventist Church, 740 South High Street. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. with the race start scheduled for 10 a.m.  All who complete the course will receive awards. Winners will receive gift certificates from participating restaurants. The entrance charge is $10 adults and $7 for kids. No pre-registration is available. The course route can be viewed at www.mapmyrun.com.

The proceeds of the event will be given to the nonprofit Highland Quality Living to develop and operate community gardens for the 2012 growing season.
