Serenity In Christian Union church celebrates re-opening

On Sunday, April 3, Serenity In Christian Union will have a celebration as they re-open their church building during both the morning and evening services.
In the morning, starting at 9:30 a.m. with Sunday school, and a fellowship break in between, Days of Noah Ministries will be doing a presentation with several fossils and a model of Noah's Ark starting at 10:45 a.m.
Later that evening, at 7 p.m., there will be a free concert featuring the Jason Lovins Band.
In addition, the church will be selling $5 tickets for a $250 Community Markets gift card that will be drawn during intermission of the Jason Lovins Band concert.
"We are doing our best to be a community church, to provide great free Christian entertainment for the people we love and respect in our community," said pastor Michael Ballentine. "Plus, we want to link great people with the gospel message through word, song and things people need, like a chance of getting $250 worth of groceries for only $5. We could all use that," Ballentine said.
Serenity In Christian Union is located at 237 S. High St. in Hillsboro. They also will be selling homemade, hand-painted Easter candy. The dress is casual, and everyone is welcome.
