New Petersburg Social Civics Club holds February meeting

The February meeting of the New Petersburg Social Civics Club met at Fall Creek Friends Church with hostess Glenna Ross.

President Janet Campbell opened the meeting with 17 members answering roll call by paying dues and bringing Valentine favors for nursing homes. Secretary Cora Hamilton read minutes of the last meeting. Treasurer Vickie Duff gave the treasurer's report.

Debbie Ellison read a thank-you note from the Historical Society for decorating a room for the holidays. Cards were signed for Kathryn Karnes and Mrs. Rex Miller.

For the program, Wanda Green and Bea Mustard brought supplies, and each member was asked to make a card of their choice.

The contest by Janet Lawwell was won by Duff. Birthday raffles brought by Marion Dodds and Lawwell were won by Dodds and Debbie Robinson. Receiving Secret Sister gifts were Hamilton, Patty Detty, Lawwell, Ellison, Dodds, Green, Phyllis Miller, Robinson, Margaret Crabtree, Chris Tolbert, and Mustard. Mustard also received the Hostess gift.

Members present were Campbell, Crabtree, Dodds, Duff, Ellison, Green, Hamilton, Verla Hodson, Lawwell, Anna Lou Lucas, Miller, Mustard, Robinson, Ross, Tolbert, Ruth Ann Watts, and Malinda Wells. Delicious refreshments were served by the hostess.
