Mowrystown to hold annual Christmas Parade
The annual Mowrystown Christmas Parade will be held Saturday, Dec. 7.
Lineup will be at Nutrien Ag Solutions, 115 West Main Street, at noon, judging at 12:30 and the parade will start at 1 p.m. It will end at the Whiteoak High School where the Mowrystown Craft Fair & Bazaar is being held. Santa will be available for photos and cookies and hot chocolate will be served.
The parade theme is “The Spirit of Christmas.” Cash prizes will be given for “The Best of Theme,” “Best Decorated Vehicle” and “Judges Choice.” Doug Hauke of A1 Building LLC has been chosen as the 2024 Grand Marshal.
The Mowrystown Lions Club is sponsoring this parade, and they would like to make it to be the best parade ever held in Mowrystown. Everyone (including all school groups, churches, organizations, and businesses) is encouraged to come and participate.
Decorate your car, truck, golf cart, 4-wheeler or tractor. Bring your horse, goat, dog, etc. And do not forget about entering a float. Be creative with your entry — remember, you could win some cash.
