Local author Saundra Akers to visit SSCC's South Campus

Local author Saundra Akers will visit Southern State Community College 6 p.m. Thursday, April 7, in the Learning Resources Center on the college’s South Campus, 12681 U.S. Route 62, near Sardinia. Admission to Southern State’s meet-the-author event is free and open to the public.

Akers, a self-published author, will discuss her books which are set in southwest Ohio’s small towns, including Peebles, Waverly, Bainbridge, Greenfield, Circleville, Washington Court House, Ripley, Sinking Spring, Chillicothe and West Union. Her childhood years were spent in these locations, and Akers said she enjoys writing about familiar places.

Her titles include “Bite of the Serpent,” “Fear Treads the Mountains,” Tempest Rider,” “Spooked,” “The Smelly Man,” “Guilty,” “Manifesting Destiny,” “The Abandoned Ghost,” “Ghost Hunter” and the Questing Hart Trilogy. To learn more, visit www.saundracrumakers.com.
