Leesburg rallies support for Toddler of the Year contestant

A young boy from Leesburg is bringing the community together in this year's Toddler of the Year competition, presented by Hasbro and benefiting Toys for Tots.

Two-year-old Mathew Valentine has advanced to the Top 15 in his group in the nationwide Toddler of the Year competition.

"Mathew has a personality that's impossible to forget," his father, David Valentine said. "Whether he's making people laugh with his funny expressions, insisting on doing everything himself, or bringing smiles to everyone he meets, he has a way of making every day a little brighter."

Voting is ongoing at https://toddleroftheyear.org/2026/mathew-8523. This round's voting ends at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 9.  However, the voting will continue into the top 10 after July 9.
