Can you believe it is November already? As the holiday season approaches, we continue with our Merry Money Reading Program for kids age 2nd through 6th grade. All reading logs must be turned in and money received by Monday, Nov. 22. Our Christmas Store will be open on Saturday, Dec. 4 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Details regarding the Christmas Store will be
available when reading logs are turned in.
We will be offering computer classes on Monday, Nov. 1, 8, 15 & 22.
If you pre-registered and received a confirmation call from our staff during the month of October, please remember to attend each session. Classes are from 5:30-8 p.m. If you did not sign up for these classes but are interested in attending a class in the spring, please call us so we can add your name to our registration list. Knit Together will meet on Thursday, Nov.4 and Nov. 18 from 5:30-7 p.m. Our group is increasing in number, so please feel free to join in the fun. Bring in your current project and join us for a time of conversation and knitting.
Dawna Jo Kiesling from the Highland County Extension office will share healthy holiday cooking tips with us on Monday, November 8 from 10-12 and
Tuesday, Nov.16 from 3-5 p.m.
The staff at the Leesburg Library cordially invites all Leesburg area Veterans and their families to our annual Veteran¹s Day Appreciation Breakfast at 10 a.m. We hope all veterans will stop by for a delicious breakfast and allow us to thank them for their service to our country. The library will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 11 in observance of Veteran's Day. Please use our outdoor book drop box if you need to return materials.
SPARX, our teen book discussion group will meet on Thursday, Nov. 18 from 5:30-7 p.m. We will be discussing Stay with Me by Garret Freymann-Weyr and Tangled by Carolyn Mackler. Copies are available at the front desk, so stop by and pick one up. Then, join us for pizza and a lively discussion of the books. We will also be finalizing plans for our December Christmas meeting. All teens grades 7 & up are welcome to attend.
The RRR book discussion group will be meeting on Thursday, November 18 at 1:30 p.m. We hope all members will be able to attend. Our Story Times continue this month at 10 AM for the Wee Ones (ages 6-36 months) and 10:30 a.m. for the Tater Tots (ages 3-5). Themes for November include Let's Go Bucks! on Nov. 4 and Thanksgiving on Nov. 18. Parents can stop in and pick up a Story Time booklet describing each week's theme and activities at our front desk.
