Hillsboro Rotary Club honors Gerald Newman
as Rotarian of the Year
The Hillsboro Rotary Club installed the officers for 2010-11 at a luncheon
on Tuesday, June 29.  This year's officers are:
Suzanne Hopkins, President
Terry Collins, President-Elect
Gayle Coss, Secretary
Scott Lewis, Treasurer
Maurice Mitchell, Cashier
Sharon Cornette, Bulletin Editor
Gerald Newman was chosen Rotarian of the Year. A Rotarian since 1970, Gerald truly demonstrates the guiding principle of "Service Above Self." He is always willing to pitch in and do whatever needs to be done, usually without being asked, and has worked tirelessly behind the scenes, never seeking recognition or thanks.
In presenting the award, outgoing President Dale Zornes said, "Gerald is what Rotary is all about.  He is a wonderful example
for all of us, and I felt his quiet and constant contributions to the club make him truly deserving of this highest honor."
