Highland Co. Democratic Party to meet June 6

The Highland County Democratic Central & Executive Committee will hold a meeting on June 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the Highland County Administration Building basement meeting room. The purpose of the meeting is to interview candidates for the position of Deputy Director for the Highland County Board of Elections. All interested persons must apply on or before May 31. The position and requirements are posted on the Board of Elections website at www.highlandcountyelections.com.

The final determination and selection will be made by the board members of the Highland County Board of Elections, but input will be made and special consideration given to the recommendation made by the Highland County Democratic Central & Executive Committee.

This is an important meeting and all members should attend. Discussion will also include discussion and recruitment of possible candidates for next year's election for various county offices, since the filing deadline is Dec. 7, 2011.
