HDH recognizes volunteer for 1,000 hours of service

“Caring. Close to Home” is a fitting tagline for Highland District Hospital. It seems just as fitting for a four-year volunteer who just chalked up 1,000 volunteer hours. Judy Martillotti is a volunteer who has been committed to the mission of caring through her service to HDH as a volunteer.
Judy has been married to Al Martillotti for 50 years and has two children and eight grandchildren. They have lived in the Sardinia community for 41 years. Judy retired from Eastern Brown Schools, where she worked as a school nurse. She says that after having worked for so many years in the medical field, she missed the communication with people and the medical field itself. That is why she decided to become a volunteer at HDH.  She currently greets people, relays updates to family members, and provides refreshments to visitors and families in the Surgery Department. Judy’s willingness to serve is invaluable to Highland District Hospital and the lives she touches through volunteering.
Congratulations to Judy Martillotti; we’re proud she is on the HDH team.
