Cape May sponsors music celebration Oct. 8

Cape May Retirement Village and Wilmington College will be holding the second annual Church Music celebration on Saturday, Oct. 8 at The Boyd Cultural Arts Center at 7 p.m. The community is invited to join us for a night filled with song and praise.

This year, Grow Food, Grow Hope will be the recipient of all donations from the event. Grow Food, Grow Hope is a nationally acclaimed program affiliated and managed through Wilmington College that teaches and helps families to grow their own gardens and how to care for the garden.

This program also helps seniors and others who may not be able to till and plant by doing some of the physical work for them, allowing them to have fresh produce from their own gardens. Growing your own food empowers everyone to have the freshest possible fruits and vegetables without the large costs associated with purchase.

Church Choirs and praise bands will provide an uplifting and entertaining evening. The event will be arranged and orchestrated by Steven Haines and Liz Haskins with support from Becky Haines and Wynn Alexander.

There is no fee for admission. Donations will be accepted during the performance and at the door.

For information, call Diane Saupe 614-309-5791 or Cathy Koerner 937-382-2995.[[In-content Ad]]
