AAUW, Altrusa pleased with results of annual book sale

The AAUW-Altrusa book sale was a great success this year, thanks again to its many volunteers and supporters.   This annual sale is a joint
effort of the local American Association of University Women chapter and Altrusa International of Highland County.
The book sale proceeds will go to promote literacy programs in Highland County.  AAUW and Altrusa award scholarships each year to traditional
and "untraditional" students, as such women who have raised their families first and then go back for a degree.  Altrusa also provide
books and pencils to grade-school students.
