Wyla Cecil 'Chub' Goddard, Jr.

Wyla Cecil “Chub” Goddard, Jr., 66, of Leesburg, formerly of Greenfield, passed away Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.
He was born on July 17, 1946 in Fruitdale, Ohio, the son of Wyla Cecil “Tee” and Betty Jane (Barnhart) Goddard, Sr.
He retired from Johnson Controls in 2006 after 21 years of service and was an Offset Printing Pressman at the Southard Printing Company in Columbus for 17 years and an Offset Pressman at Greenfield Printing. He was a 1965 graduate of the Edward Lee McClain High School and served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He is survived by his wife, Jean (Cokonougher) Goddard, whom he married on Feb., 1969; one son, Jason (Loree) Goddard of Leesburg; two grandchildren, Jenna and Jonah; one brother, Danny Goddard of Sabina; one sister, Nancy Jane (Ronnie) Storts of South Salem; stepmother, Elva Goddard of Mountain City, Tenn,; two stepbrothers, Bill (Betty) Murphy of Mountain City, Tenn. and Kenny (Jan) Murphy of Michigan; one stepsister, Betty Leggett of Mountain City, Tenn.; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Jackie Lynn Goddard; and both parents.
In accordance to Mr. Goddard’s wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Brad Clouse and Otis Wagner officiating.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. Thursday until time of service.
