Winifred "Winnie" Loraine Wells, 92, of Greenfield, died Friday, Jan. 6, 2012 at Edgewood Manor of Greenfield.
She was born June 15, 1919 in Lucasville, the daughter of Gordon and Emma Artis.
She was a former employee of the Greenfield Hospital and the Sundry Store.
She is survived by one granddaughter, Kimberly Wells of Greenfield; one great-granddaughter, Dakota Eversole of Greenfield; and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Wells, in July 1991; one son in infancy; one son, Sam; one daughter-in-law, Carol Wells; and both parents.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Combs officiating. Burial will follow in the Scioto Cemetery, near Lucasville. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Edgewood Manor Activities Fund, 850 Nellie Street, Greenfield, Ohio 45123.
